Brief Introduction

Dr. Shih-Chin Chen, I am an attending surgeon in the Division of General Surgery at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, one of Taiwan's leading tertiary referral centers and academic medical institutions. My surgical training spans both the era of traditional open surgery and the rapid development of minimally invasive techniques, allowing me to gain extensive experience in both approaches. My clinical interests focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, with particular expertise in complex pancreatic procedures, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. I also specialize in pancreas transplant, digestive surgery, and hernia surgery. I am committed to advancing minimally invasive pancreatic surgery and improving surgical and oncological outcomes for patients with complex pancreatic diseases.
